We are proud to present Bill Jordan's Authentic 1800's Sailor's Valentine Instructional DVD, with never before revealed secret techniques pictured and explained!  Bill features in this DVD his prized 1800's Single Traditional Sailor's Valentine which was awarded First Place in the category of Original Sailor's Valentine Art at the renowned Sanibel Shell Show in 2007. Bill is also well known for his unique Sailor's Valentines in pocket watch cases, and his amazing miniature shell art sculptures.

Bill's DVD is very detailed with 190 photo slides to visually illustrate each step as he carefully narrates the process to make an authentic 1800's Sailors Valentine. He explains in his narrative all the tools needed, the design process, how to measure to create the design, how to make the dividers, how to place shells, how to make templates and figure out designs and placement, how to make shell flowers and the secret to making perfect lettering in shells! He basically includes everything that you need to know. Both the beginner and the experienced shell artist will learn something new. He uses humor and very plain language throughout the DVD. The DVD can be watched by chapter as well as in total, so that you can go back to review the steps that you want to review.

This DVD is an excellent training tool for those shell artists who will then want to go on and create designs and shell art of their own. You will learn methods to do the various steps so that you can then modify, add or eliminate certain steps to make shell art to reflect your own style. Or you can continue to use the steps and tools that were used in the mid-1800's to create Sailor's Valentines the way they were made originally. Learn to make a Valentine the way they made them perhaps 200 years ago!

It is Bill's hope that this DVD will guarantee that shell art will continue in the Victorian tradition of the 1800's, and not be lost as has been the fate of so many unique arts and crafts. Bill feels that it is important to leave a legacy for this lovely art form and to inspire and educate people to continue to create in this medium.
